At The Inky Shop, we are committed to 100% customer satisfaction. We stand behind our Inky Shop brand inks and toners with a 100% money-back satisfaction guarantee.
To protect both our customers and our business, we operate in compliance with the South African Consumer Protection Act (No. 68 of 2008). Unless otherwise stated, all products carry a 6-month warranty.

1. "Change of Mind" Returns
We understand that mistakes happen! You may return new, unopened, and unused goods in their original packaging for a refund or exchange within 7 days of purchase or delivery.
- Proof of Purchase: A valid invoice is required for all returns.
- The Exception: We cannot accommodate "change of mind" returns on Special Orders (items sourced specifically for you).
- Costs: In-Store: No additional cost.
Online: For "change of heart" returns, we will deduct the return shipping costs and a 10% handling fee where applicable.
- Our Error: If we sent the wrong item or it arrived damaged, we cover all return shipping costs!
2. Check Your Models!
Because we cannot refund or exchange opened, non-faulty cartridges or hardware, please double-check your printer and cartridge model numbers before breaking the seal.
3. Repair, Replace, or Refund (Defective Goods)
If your merchandise is defective and within its warranty period (see table below), we will gladly repair, replace, or refund it.
- The Check: For consumables, we perform a quick check to ensure the cartridge isn't empty (used up).
- Troubleshooting: For online returns, we may have a quick chat with our technical staff to see if we can solve the issue remotely before you ship it back.

4. Inkjet Refill Guarantee
Our refills are backed by a 100% money-back satisfaction guarantee. While external factors mean we can't guarantee every refill will work (see our Cartridge Care Guidelines), we promise that if it doesn't work to your satisfaction, we will refund your refill cost.
Note: Our guarantee covers the cost of the refill service. If a refill fails, we refund the refill price, not the price of a new cartridge, which you can choose to put towards a new replacement cartridge
5. Additional Notes
- Refund Processing: We move as fast as possible! However, please allow a few days for courier transit and for the PayFast gateway to reflect the funds in your account.
- Cancellations: Contact us immediately to cancel an online order. If it hasn't shipped, we’ll refund you straight away. If it has already shipped, we will process the refund (less shipping) once the items are returned to our warehouse.
- Promotions: Refunds for items bought on promotion will match the actual amount paid on the invoice.
- Confirmation: All refunds are documented with an email or printed confirmation for your records.
